2012 May 6 Pala, CA

2012 May 6 Sunday
Infinity at Pala Casino
11154 Highway 76
Pala, CA

Pala is located in northern San Diego County (about 50 miles northeast of the city of San Diego - or about 110 miles southeast of Los Angeles.  In other words, a place no one ever goes to -  except maybe to visit the casinos or visit nearby Temecula.

Temecula is located about 12 miles north of Pala.  Day trippers often visit Temecula to explore it's charming  Old Town, beautiful hill country and to check out some of the nearby wineries with wine tasting and dining rooms.

Pala Casino Spa and Resort is owned and operated by the Pala Band of Mission Indians. The casino has over 2,000 slots, table games. The Resort has a day spa, pool, 10 restaurants, 4 entertainment venues and 507 room hotel.

The Infinity Showroom opened May 6, 2011. (Formerly it was the Grand Cabaret room). The new Infinity has been enclosed and upgraded. It offers 900 seats in a intimate theater style setting. The chairs are not fixed and there are booths along the back wall for lounging and dining. It was a new high-end audio and lighting system and several high definition video screens on the walls. There is a bar facility.

The girls took the stage at 7:45 to the music of Music to Watch  Girls By by the Bob Crewe Generation.

The show was very similar to the recent show at Chumash Casino. However, instead of playing Unforgiven, they played Has the Whole World Lost It's Head?

How Much More
Get Up and Go
Mad About You
Lust To Love
Mother's Little Helper
Fading Fast
Cool Jerk
Cool Places
This Town
Has the Whole World Lost It's Head
Our Lips Are Sealed
We Got The Beat
Walking In the Sand
Fun With Ropes
Head Over Heal

The stage was sweet and low down. Security was loose. Fans to get as close to the stage as wanted. No problem with moving about and picture taking.

Hey--I love your blog, have come to it many times. This isn't actually a comment to this post per se, but a question. In your show listings from 1977, the benefit Stephen Stills played at The Whisky appears as having happened July 13th. I was actually working there at the time, and this is about when I recall it happening. But on a couple of other websites it's listed as having been Aug. 15th (including a brief review, which I can no longer access for some reason). I've seen an actual ad that shows The Dogs playing The Whisky the 15th, plus your and someone else's listings. But in the interests of accuracy, do you by any chance have some sort of verification? Thanks regardless, and for all your work!
