Long Beach Auditorium

3,650 - (folding wooden) chairs.

The Long Beach Municipal Auditorium opened in 1930 in the Pike area of Long Beach. The Pike was Long Beach's entertainment center -  where visitors could swim, ride roller coasters and other thrill rides, eat, dance, visit concession stands and go to shows. It was sort of a West Coast Coney Island that operated from 1902 to 1969.

The Long Beach Auditorium was surrounded on three sides by a lagoon and the Rainbow Pier-  which stretched between Pine Avenue to Linden. (This lagoon was later filled in).
