The GoGo's Get Get Their New Girl

After receiving 200 demo tapes from everyone from a 17 year old high schooler to a 38 year old mother and doughnut maker, the four remaining GoGo's have chosen Paula Jean Brown as their new member, filling the void left when guitarist Jane Wiedlin left the band in October.

Kathy Valentine - Everything's rosy in GoGo land once again.

All applicants for prospective GoGo's were required to submit tapes, photos and resumes.
 
The band actually rehearsed with 10- of the prospects and narrowed it down to three for more extensive auditions

Brown will play bass in the group, with former bassist Valentine moving over to guitar. 



Paula Brown was from New Mexico. She played in two local outfits, Paradise Drive and Jackie O. 

Brown was also a song writer. (She would go on to co-write three songs for Belinda including Mad About You.

The GoGo's were now rehearsing with the new Go for the upcoming live appearance scheduled for Rio de Janeiro in January 1985 before 250,000.
