The Centrum is located in Worcester Massacusetts. Worcester is located about 45 minutes west of Boston.
The Centrum in Worcester opened in 1982. Today it is called the DCU Arena and Convention Center (DCU). It is home to the Worcester Sharks hockey team. The facility hosts concerts, sporing events, conventions and trade shows.
In 1984 it had a capacity of 12,000. (Today it 14,800 seats).

In the 1980's many touring rock bands played here rather than the old Boston Garden which had poor acoustics and no air conditioning. Bands who have played here in the '80's included Grateful Dean, Aerosmith, Yes, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and AC/DC.
