The Go-Go's played with the fun and campy local band, the Dickies.
The Dickies were from Los Angeles and were the first punk band to sign to a major label.

This was the show that got them a lot of attention. They were on the bill supporting Madness. The English band the Specials were in town, saw the Go-Go's, and asked them  to support there upcoming Spring tour in England.

March 14-16, 1980

When they got back from England in mid 1980, the Go-Go's  were popular, but they were still not able to clinch a major record deal. So - back to the clubs they went.
