ON THE GO - The drive from Austin to Dallas took about 3 hours. All in all - it was pretty uneventful.
This was my first time to Dallas... so I had to be sure to check out:
Both were excellent museums.
My hotel was located about 2 blocks from the the Dallas House of Blues.
I checked to make sure the GoGo bus made it there okay.
THE GET GO
The House of Blues in Dallas is BIG. I guess it held about 1200 people. There was a huge upper level. That's were I parked myself. There was a big, enthusiastic crowd. The staff was cool...they didn't seem to mind people taking pictures.
I got a great seat upstairs on the rail with no one blocking my view! Yeah! However...
I was too far away to get any decent pictures with my little camera. Oh well.
FASTBALL was the warm up band. I love Fastball. Can they always open for the GoGos?

They came on at 8:00pm and played for maybe 40 minutes.
First Kathy and Charlotte came out and made the announcement about Jane having to leave the tour suddenly because of her mother's illness. They mentioned guitarist Eve Monsee would be filling in for her.
Before playing their encore, Gina asks the crowd to give Eve a round of applause for saving their butts and the tour under a very difficult situation.
They dropped Cool Places. bummer.
They added Lust to Love and Party Time.
Beatnik Beach was added too. Yeah!
Before singing Stuck in My Car Kathy comments that most GoGo songs are about staying out too late, boys and cars.
Charlotte said they would like to dedicate Our Lips Are Sealed to Jane and her family. Charlotte sang Jane's bit in the song.
Eve seemed a lot more comfortable with the music tonight. She had a day to practice.
She even did a cool guitar riff a couple times.
HIGH NOTE - The sound system here was great. Maybe I thought that because I was sitting farther back this time. But I wish the lighting would stop going from red to blue to white to red to blue etc. during all these shows. It makes it hard to take good pictures.
LOW NOTE - No Jane. Her absence is felt by everyone. One could not help but notice the void.
